Note: This list is effective June, 2006. Individual names may change, although not the office responsible for overseeing enforcement.Parking Violations
- On apron
- Across sidewalks
- On unimproved surfaces.
Parking Lots
- Of more than permitted vehicles in back and side yards
- Conversion of more than the allowable space for parking in side and back yards
- On unimproved surfaces
- Negligence in installing barriers between backyard parking lots and neighboring properties
Garbage
- Uncollected garbage on parkways
- Uncollected by house
- Overflowing trash bins
- Garbage or recyclables strewn all around property
- Trash bins not properly placed or left by curb
- Recycle bins illegally placed or left by curb
Debris
- Discarded appliances, furniture left in yards, on porches
- Piles of brush
- Dead tree threatening your property
- Abandoned vehicles, streetside
- Abandoned vehicles, on property
Illegal Conversions and Occupancy
- Illegal conversions of single family to duplex ยท Illegal conversions of duplex to multifamily
- Over-occupancy of houses or units within houses/apartments.
- Family of 10 plus 3 renters
- Four sets of mother/daughter living together.
Noise above tolerable levels, such as late night parties
Noise is defined as anything heard outside the home. If you file a complaint with the police, they will first issue a warning. After subsequent complaints, the police will implement the schedule of fines against the offenders. However, you must ask to sign a complaint, otherwise the police will not issue any fines. Also, if you file subsequent complaints, let the police know you are complaining about a repeat offender for the schedule of graduated fines to go into effect.

Property Maintenance
- Weeds over 8 inches
- Deteriorating structure
Lighting
- High wattage or high intensity lighting which affects neighboring properties
- Illegally lit signs.
Multiple Violations: Zoning Enforcement Team
For properties with multiple violations, contact the Director of Community Development, 384-2444. They will convene the Zoning Enforcement Team to coordinate the efforts of offices involved in enforcement.
